Our Director, Sally Prendergast, commenced dance training at five years of age, studying in classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, character and demi-character. Sally had been teaching dance on a part time basis for nine years before returning to full time dance study in 1999 from a career in the retail industry where she completed a Department Manager Traineeship. Sally has owned and operated her own dance studio's for the past nine years and has teaching experience in a range of styles. Currently, Sally is in her final year of the Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management at Box Hill Institute of TAFE.

 

 
 
Kristy Hetherington has been dancing for seventeen years and has broad experience in a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, funk, contemporary and classical ballet. After graduating from the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, Kristy completed a Diploma in Performing Arts at Dance World Studios. Kristy has eight years teaching experience in the styles of Tap, Jazz/Funk and Contemporary to students from beginner to advanced levels of ability.

 

 

Hayley Russell has many years dance training specialising in Classical Ballet. In 2004 Hayley achieved Advanced II certification in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. Hayley also has a Diploma in Dance Performance as well as a Diploma of Classical Ballet both from Dance World Studios. Hayley is currently a Senior Classical Lecturer at Dance World Studios as well as a Production Coordinator for Colours Entertainment and an Audition Coordinator for Royal Caribbean International. Not only does Hayley have extensive teaching experience with students of a variety of ages and abilities, she also has an extensive performance history including as a dancer for Princess Cruise Lines and at Crown Casino, acting in a number of television advertisements, as well as at children's performances.

 

 

 

Kaicie Connors has a Diploma of Performing Arts majoring in Dance from Dance World Studios and has studied various styles of dance including Classical Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Tap. Kaicie has a range of performance experience in both Television and Live Performance on stage and in commercial settings. Kaicie has extensive experience teaching dance to a variety of age groups and levels of ability in the styles of Hip Hop, Jazz, Boys Break dance, Ballet and Tap.

 

 

Tessa Bell has been dancing for fourteen years and has broad experience in a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, funk, contemporary and classical ballet. In 2006 Tessa achieved a distinction for her Intermediate Classical Ballet Exam with the Royal Academy of Dance. Tessa completed VCE Dance by distance education in 2007 and received a high A+ for her performance exam. Tessa has participated in many eisteddfods throughout Gippsland with some fantastic results and awards received.

 

Emma George has been dancing for thirteen years and has broad experience in a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, funk, contemporary and classical ballet. Emma completed VCE Dance by distance education in 2007. Emma has participated in many competitions and eisteddfods throughout Gippsland with some fantastic results. Emma has three years teaching experience and is an invaluable part of the teaching staff at Leaps and Bounds.
